Basketball Recap: Randolph Rams vs. Parsippany Redhawks
Randolph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parsippany Redhawks. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.
Parsippany's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Niedermaier, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Arthur Smith was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.
Randolph's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Parsippany, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Randolph will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Delbarton at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Parsippany, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-47 defeat against Morristown on the 1st.
