Aldine is 8-1 against Dekaney since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Aldine Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Dekaney Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Aldine is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Humble just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Wildcats are ranked 44th).

Meanwhile, Dekaney fell victim to Alief Elsik and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 1-0. The Wildcats have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Dekaney's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Aldine, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Aldine took their victory against Dekaney in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. Will Aldine repeat their success, or does Dekaney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
