Baseball Recap: Triton Comes Up Short

After flying high against E.E. Smith last Friday, Triton came back down to earth. Triton fell 8-4 to the Terry Sanford Bulldogs on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Triton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Sewell, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Terry Sanford, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Terry Sanford beat Triton by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday.
