Softball Recap: Edison Extends Winning Streak to Three

Edison entered their tilt with Spencer-Van Etten/Candor on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-0 last Monday.

Edison let Maycie Bennett and Katrina Cook run wild. Bennett went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Cook went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave Cook a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emily Aiello, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Edison's record now sits at 13-3. As for Spencer-Van Etten/Candor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
