Football Recap: Desert Takes a Loss

Desert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 78-18 loss at the hands of the Immanuel Christian Crusaders.

Immanuel Christian was led to victory by Romelle Harris and Mazyn Weaver. Harris gained 277 total yards and five touchdowns, while Weaver rushed for 104 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Harris also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending three passes.

Desert's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Immanuel Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Desert will face off against Trona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Immanuel Christian, they will challenge Mojave at 7:30 p.m. on the 6th. The contest will give the Crusaders their first taste of in-conference action this season.
