Basketball Game Preview: IDEA College Prep Griffins vs. Vanguard Academy Beethoven

The IDEA College Prep Griffins will challenge Vanguard Academy Beethoven at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 20 consecutive losses dating back to last season for IDEA College Prep and three for Vanguard Academy Beethoven.

IDEA College Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost 72-47 to Monte Alto last Monday.

Meanwhile, Vanguard Academy Beethoven took a blow against Great Hearts Northern Oaks on Saturday, falling 76-39. While losing is never fun, Vanguard Academy Beethoven can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1180th, while Great Hearts Northern Oaks is ranked 587th).

Vanguard Academy Beethoven's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for IDEA College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

IDEA College Prep beat Vanguard Academy Beethoven 38-29 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Does IDEA College Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vanguard Academy Beethoven turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
