Recap: A.L. Brown Wonders vs. East Rowan Mustangs
The A.L. Brown Wonders's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged East Rowan out 48-45. This was payback for A.L. Brown, who suffered a 39-30 loss the last time these two teams met.
A.L. Brown found their leader in underclassman Makenzie Goode-Roberts, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Robinson, who scored three points along with six rebounds and five steals.
A.L. Brown's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for East Rowan, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
A.L. Brown will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against West Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for East Rowan, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Carson at 6:00 p.m. Carson is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
