Soccer Game Preview: Walhalla vs. Palmetto

The Walhalla Razorbacks will square off against the Palmetto Mustangs on Tuesday. Walhalla is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Walhalla took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Crescent a 5-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Taylor Payne as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Palmetto fell victim to Southside Christian and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sabres.

Walhalla's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four matchups. As for Palmetto, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
