Hooper Academy. Over the past week, he racked up one win and 13 strikeouts.
Macon-East Montgomery Academy had a successful week, as it won three total games to lead the league. The Knights beat the Colts 12-10,
Coosa Valley Academy 7-2 and
Ashford Academy 26-14.
Evangel Christian Academy's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 21 hits and 11 walks to lead the league in both categories.
Hooper Academy stole 18 bases this week, adding to its league-leading 57 steals on the year.
The Lions'
Blake Blackmon kept his eye on the prize while at bat this week, leading the league with a .625 average (5-for-8). For the season, he's hitting .355, good for fifth in the league. Blackmon has totaled 11 hits this season.
Blackmon drove in four runners on Friday in Evangel Christian Academy's 15-4 victory over
South Montgomery County Academy. He went 3-for-4.
Kicker struck out 11 in the Colts' 10-0 win over the Lions on March 12. He gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings of work.
