Softball Game Preview: Groveton Indians vs. Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs

The Groveton Indians will venture away from home to challenge the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Groveton will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Groveton's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past West Sabine 13-0. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Corrigan-Camden entered their tilt with West Sabine on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Tigers.

Groveton pushed their record up to 17-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Corrigan-Camden, their win bumped their record up to 13-2-1.

Groveton skirted past Corrigan-Camden 7-6 in their previous matchup on March 14th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Groveton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
