Volleyball Game Preview: Celina Bobcats vs. Liberty Hill Panthers

The Celina Bobcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Liberty Hill Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Celina faced off against Lockhart on Thursday. The Bobcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lions.

While Celina won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23.

Celina can attribute much of their success to Bella Castillo, who had 12 assists and 11 digs, and Rachel Henry, who had nine digs and one assist. Those 11 digs gave Castillo a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Liberty Hill came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs.

Liberty Hill found their leader in sophomore Summer Snyder, who had 11 digs and five assists. Snyder is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Liberty Hill's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Celina, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
