Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jefferson-Morgan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They really took it to Carmichaels for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-33 victory. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Mighty Mikes are ranked 704th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jefferson-Morgan's win came from a few key players Chartiers-Houston will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jeremiah Robertson, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jase Bedilion, who went 7 of 10 en route to 15 points.

Jefferson-Morgan's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.4 points. As for Chartiers-Houston, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.

Chartiers-Houston didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Jefferson-Morgan in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 44-39 win.
