Basketball Recap: Yoakum Takes a Loss

Yoakum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost to the Palacios Sharks on the road by a 62-48 margin. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 14 points.

Yoakum's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Palacios, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yoakum will head out to take on Rice Consolidated at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Yoakum is facing Rice Consolidated at the right time seeing as Rice Consolidated is stuck on an 18-game losing streak. Palacios has already played their next match (against Edna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
