Softball Recap: Robbinsville Snags 12th Victory in Last 15 Games

While Robbinsville's victory against North Hunterdon wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Ravens had just enough and edged out the Lions 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Ravens have posted since April 21st.

Lucie Canuso was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tuleen Ali, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Robbinsville is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for North Hunterdon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Robbinsville will be playing in front of their home fans against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:50 p.m. on Monday. Robbinsville will need to watch out since Non Varsity Opponent has now posted at least ten runs in their last seven contests. As for North Hunterdon, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Phillipsburg at 4:00 p.m.
