Basketball Recap: South Rowan's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

South Rowan came into Tuesday's game having lost 35 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 46-45 victory over the Thomasville Bulldogs. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 62-61 loss the last time these two teams met.

South Rowan's win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-12. As for Thomasville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Rowan will host Carson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Carson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Thomasville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lexington at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th.
