Basketball Recap: Midland Adventist Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Midland Adventist Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy Rams on Tuesday, sneaking past 59-57. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Uriel Noorollah, who went 9-for-14 to rack up 23 points. The matchup was Noorollah's third in a row with at least 15 points. Jacob Sosland was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine steals.

Midland Adventist Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Midland Adventist Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Whitefield Academy at 8:00 p.m. on December 9. As for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, they will head out to face off against Guadalupe Centers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
