Preview: Fort Stockton Panthers vs. Kermit Yellow Jackets
The Fort Stockton Panthers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Kermit Yellow Jackets at 8:00 a.m. on December 28th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Fort Stockton came up short against Del Rio and fell 37-26.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Kermit's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 53-37 fall against Stanton. Kermit has not had much luck with Stanton recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ebbin Mallory, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five steals. Iris Lujan was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Fort Stockton's record is now 9-5. Kermit's record is now 9-8.
Fort Stockton came out on top in a nail-biter against Kermit in their previous matchup back in November, sneaking past 49-47. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Kermit's MICHAELA CAZARIN, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Fort Stockton still be able to contain him? There's only one way to find out.
