Basketball Game Preview: Christ the King Royals vs. Paul VI Panthers

The Christ the King Royals and the Paul VI Panthers will round out the year against one another at at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Sunday, Christ the King made easy work of Bishop Loughlin and carried off a 71-47 victory. The game marked the Royals' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Paul VI is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of 'Iolani. Paul VI walked away with a 67-59 victory over 'Iolani.

The win made it two in a row for Christ the King and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Paul VI, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Christ the King might still be hurting after the 56-31 defeat they got from Paul VI when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Christ the King avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
