Basketball Game Preview: Milford Scarlet Hawks vs. Sharon Eagles

The Milford Scarlet Hawks will take on the Sharon Eagles in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Milford will be strutting in after a victory while Sharon will be coming in after a defeat.

Milford took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 55-48 win over Stoughton.

Milford can attribute much of their success to Matt Dasilva, who posted 18 points, and Cody Geoffroy, who put up 12 points. That's the most points Dasilva has posted since back in December of 2024. Jason Stokes was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Sharon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 59-54 to Stoughton.

Sharon dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Milford, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Milford was able to grind out a solid win over Sharon in their previous matchup back in January, winning 71-60. Do the Scarlet Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
