Basketball Game Preview: Hilliard Davidson Wildcats vs. St. Charles Cardinals

Hilliard Davidson is on a three-game streak of home losses, St. Charles a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats take on the St. Charles Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Hilliard Davidson took a blow against Olentangy Orange, falling 66-39. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, St. Charles lost to Bishop Watterson at home by a 58-42 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Eagles are ranked 33rd).

St. Charles' defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-8. As for Hilliard Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Hilliard Davidson was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Charles in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 38-30. Will Hilliard Davidson repeat their success, or does St. Charles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
