Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Riverside). They never let the Spartanburg Vikings get on the board and left with  a   7-0  victory  on Thursday. The  win continues a trend for Riverside in their matchups with Spartanburg: they've now won eight in a row.
Riverside's offense was hitting Spartanburg from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal.  Emma Workman led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
Riverside pushed their record up to 5-2-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero  goals over those three  matches. As for Spartanburg, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record  this season.
