Recap: Fossil Ridge Sabercats vs. Castle View Sabercats
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Fossil Ridge Sabercats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. The matchup between Fossil Ridge and Castle View wasn't particularly close, with Fossil Ridge falling 35-16. Fossil Ridge gained 110 more yards on the day, but it was Castle View that made the best of use of them.
Nick Kubat threw for 219 yards on 14 of 32 attempts. Marcus Mozer was his top target, picking up 95 receiving yards. On the ground, Colton Pawlak rushed for 54 yards.
Jackson Blanchard was the offensive standout of the match as he picked up 53 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Fossil Ridge now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Castle View, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
Fossil Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Castle View will head out on the road to face off against Mountain Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Vista has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 418 points over their last nine matchups.
