Basketball Game Preview: South Point Pointers vs. Chesapeake Panthers

South Point and Chesapeake are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The South Point Pointers will be playing at home against the Chesapeake Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Point is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Dawson-Bryant by a score of 56-46 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Chesapeake put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 47-32 victory over Gallia Academy.

South Point's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Chesapeake, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

South Point couldn't quite finish off Chesapeake when the teams last played back in January and fell 50-47. Can South Point avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
