Volleyball Game Preview: Myrtle Beach Seahawks vs. Carolina Forest Panthers

Myrtle Beach hasn't had much luck against Carolina Forest recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Seahawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Myrtle Beach and Socastee had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Seahawks lost 3-0 to the Braves on Thursday.

While Myrtle Beach was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Socastee's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Carolina Forest faced Dorman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Cavaliers. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost nine in a row.

While Carolina Forest was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15.

Carolina Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5-1. As for Myrtle Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.

Myrtle Beach might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Carolina Forest in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Seahawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
