Basketball Recap: Cass Tech's Loss Ends 13-Game Winning Streak at Home

Cass Tech entered their matchup against Renaissance on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cass Tech Technicians received a blow as they fell 43-29 to the Renaissance Phoenix. While losing is never fun, the Technicians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Phoenix are ranked seventh).

Cass Tech's loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3. As for Renaissance, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cass Tech will venture away from home to face off against Southeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Renaissance, they will head out on the road to challenge Mumford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
