Baseball Recap: Kingsway Victorious

After losing to Clearview the last time they met, Kingsway decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dragons came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 6-3 on Monday.

Dylan Potero was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Brayden Thorp was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Kingsway's record is now 12-6-1. As for Clearview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingsway will face off against Timber Creek Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clearview, they will challenge Gloucester Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
