Basketball Game Preview: Madison Central Indians vs. Mercer County Titans

The Madison Central Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Mercer County Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Madison Central came up short against Lexington Catholic and fell 53-41. The Indians have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Mercer County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 55-43 win over the Maroons.

Madison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Mercer County, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Madison Central couldn't quite finish off Mercer County when the teams last played back in December of 2015 and fell 67-65. Can Madison Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
