Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glenbard South). They blew past the Fenton Bison 56-14 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Raiders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Bison are ranked 411th).

The victory (which was Glenbard South's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.7 points on average over those games. As for Fenton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenbard South will venture away from home to face off against Elmwood Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Fenton, they will head out to challenge Riverside-Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Bison's offense will have their work cut out for them.
