Softball Recap: Mcnary Wins Going Away Against Beaverton

McNary's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Beaverton Beavers 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Celtics, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

McNary is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Beaverton, they moved to 10-4 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Coming up, McNary will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against South Salem at 4:30 p.m. The Saxons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.08 runs per game on average), something the Celtics will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Beaverton, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mountainside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mavericks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Beavers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
