Softball Recap: Simeon Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Simeon took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Perspectives Leadership/Technology, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolverines narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Warriors 27-26. The Wolverines' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ariyah Black was a standout: she fired off three home runs, 12 stolen bases, and ten RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dezaray Gibbs, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with 12 stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI.

Simeon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Simeon, bringing their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Simeon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
