Football Game Preview: Trinity Christian Lions vs. Fayette County Tigers + How To Watch

Trinity Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Fayette County since November of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lions will challenge the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Trinity Christian will be strutting in after a win while Fayette County will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Trinity Christian turned things around against Upson-Lee on Friday. They walked away with a 34-21 victory over the Knights.

Peyton Echols was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 119 receiving yards and two TDs. Those two receiving touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Ashton Clare was another key player, throwing for 195 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Trinity Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Chase Randolph, Luke Thompson, and Aidan Randolph picked up one apiece. Aidan has been hot recently, having also posted seven or more total tackles the last four times he's played. Another thorn in Upson-Lee's side was Reese Earl, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles.

Meanwhile, Fayette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Whitewater 36-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Wildcats are ranked 151st).

Fayette County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Trinity Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Trinity Christian against Fayette County when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-14 victory. In that contest, the Lions amassed a halftime lead of 35-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
