Hinkley has gone 8-2 against Westminster recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hinkley Thunder are taking a road trip to challenge the Westminster Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Hinkley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Tuesday, Hinkley came up short against Montbello and fell 49-39.

Despite the defeat, Hinkley got top-tier performance from Malachi Holden, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Hinkley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Westminster lost to Riverdale Ridge on the road by a 76-61 margin on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (60), the Wolves still had to take the loss.

Westminster dropped their record down to 7-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Hinkley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Hinkley came up short against Westminster in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 58-50. Thankfully for Hinkley, Daigan Gray (who went 11 for 25 on his way to 31 points along with five boards and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
