Baseball Recap: Williamson Marauders vs. North Rose-Wolcott Cougars

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Williamson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the North Rose-Wolcott Cougars. For Williamson, this counts as revenge for the 15-5 loss North Rose-Wolcott walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Tim Vos made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Vos has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Mynderse Academy is coming into the matchup with three straight victories at home, so North Rose-Wolcott will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
