Baseball Recap: Lewisburg's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lewisburg took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Midd-West, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Green Dragons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Mustangs on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Green Dragons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Landen Wagner and Cohen Hoover did most of the damage at the plate: Wagner got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Hoover went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That's the most runs Wagner has posted since back in April.

Lewisburg's victory bumped their record up to 7-10-1. As for Midd-West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewisburg will venture away from home to challenge Central Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Midd-West, they will square off against Jersey Shore at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
