Basketball Game Preview: Lakeland Hawks vs. Post Falls Trojans

Lakeland is 1-7 against Post Falls since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lakeland Hawks will host the Post Falls Trojans at 3:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Lakeland lost to Lewiston on the road by a 71-54 margin. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Bengals are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Post Falls' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Lake City by a score of 58-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Trojans have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Post Falls' defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-6. As for Lakeland, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
