Softball Game Recap: Hillcrest Hawks vs. Tinley Park Titans

Hillcrest extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-20 in the process. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Tinley Park Titans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on May 5th.

As for Tinley Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season. Considering they have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Tinley Park's part, Addison McNicholas looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Lilia Flores was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Piotrowski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Hillcrest has already played their next matchup (against Thornton Fractional North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Tinley Park, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-2 win against Lyons on the 23rd.
