Recap: Gaffney Indians vs. Dorman Cavaliers
After a string of three wins, the Gaffney Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dorman. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), Gaffney still had to take the loss.
Gaffney's loss came despite strong showings from Markell Hollis and Judd Price. Hollis scored 25 points, while Price scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Price has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rickey Littlejohn, who scored six points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Gaffney's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Dorman, their win bumped their record up to 18-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gaffney will take on James F. Byrnes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gaffney is on a four-game streak of home wins, James F. Byrnes a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Dorman will take on Spartanburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
