Baseball Recap: Sonora Raiders vs. South Gate Rams
While it was Sonora who put the first runs on the board on Saturday, it was South Gate who put up more. The Raiders fell just short of the Rams by a score of 5-4. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Luke Crowder put in work no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Anthony Abad made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Sonora's record is now 15-11. As for South Gate, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16.
