Basketball Recap: Sebastian Morse's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Edgemont over Crawford

Edgemont lost against Crawford back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Edgemont Moguls lost 58-38 to the Crawford Rams. The Moguls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Edgemont lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sebastian Morse, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds. Keaton Darrow was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Edgemont was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

It was another big night for Taylor Homan, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 21 boards for Crawford. Those 21 rebounds gave Homan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cyrus Walter, who put up 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Edgemont's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Crawford, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Edgemont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-40 defeat against Sioux County on the 11th. As for Crawford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-54 loss against Morrill on the 11th.
