Springfield and Normal West are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. Springfield will take on Normal West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.

Springfield will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Glenwood, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Springfield's defense stepped up to hand Glenwood a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Springfield was the better team in the second half.

Addie Maddox was the driving force of Springfield's attack as she scored both of Springfield's goals, bringing her season total up to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Normal West was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morton. While losing is never fun, Normal West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Morton are ranked 28th).

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 13-3-1. As for Normal West, they now have a losing record of 9-10-2.

Everything went Springfield's way against Normal West when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Springfield made off with an 8-2 victory. In that matchup, Springfield amassed a halftime lead of 8-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
