Volleyball Recap: Reno Huskies vs. Reed Raiders
Reno had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Reed Raiders 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Reno walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-7, 25-20.
Reno can attribute much of their success to Morgan Brenner, who had five digs and 13 assists. Brenner has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played.
Reno was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reed only served five.
Reno is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Reed, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Reno and Damonte Ranch will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on October 15th. As for Reed, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carson at 6:00 p.m. on October 15th.
