The Fairbanks Panthers can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Madison Plains by a score of 38-26. That's another feather in the cap for Fairbanks, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Fairbanks' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reese Poling led the charge by scoring nine points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Boehm, who scored eight points.

Madison Plains' loss came despite strong showings from Kenzie Vallery and Cressa Williams. Vallery scored nine points along with six rebounds, while Williams scored six points.

Fairbanks' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Madison Plains, they bumped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Fairbanks will be playing in front of their home fans against West Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Madison Plains, they will head out on the road to take on Southeastern Local at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southeastern Local will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
