Softball Game Preview: Shea Raiders vs. Tiverton Tigers

For the second straight game, Shea will face off against Tiverton. The Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shea has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Shea had been on a six-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Tiverton put an end to it on Tuesday. The Raiders lost 11-1 to the Tigers. The Raiders' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

The win made it two in a row for Tiverton and bumps their season record up to 18-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Shea, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Shea hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Tiverton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
