Softball Recap: Lexington Yellowjackets vs. Salisbury Hornets
Lexington fell victim to Salisbury and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 17-0. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 16-1 to the Hornets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Lexington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amiyah Miller, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.
Lexington is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Salisbury, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lexington will face off against rival North Rowan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Salisbury is set to take on their familiar foe West Davidson at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
