Volleyball Recap: Chattooga's Undefeated Season over After Nine Games

Chattooga lost against LaFayette back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indians fell 2-0 to the Ramblers. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15.

Haley Maddux paced Chattooga's offense, picking up six kills. Maddux got some help from Madilyn Wheat and her five assists.

Leading LaFayette to victory were Caydence Tinklepaugh and Anabelle Penland. Tinklepaugh had five digs and two aces, while Penland had five digs and one assist.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chattooga fell to 8-1. As for LaFayette, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

The future could be bright for both Chattooga and LaFayette: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Indians will look to extend Woodland's five-game losing streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, LaFayette will try to hand Ridgeland their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
