McDonald County hasn't had much luck against Neosho recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. McDonald County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, McDonald County got the win against Southwest by a conclusive 3-0.
While McDonald County won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-14.

McDonald County can attribute much of their success to Leslie Velazques, who had 13 digs and three aces, and Jozlynn Grigsby, who had four digs and two aces. Those three aces gave Velazques a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: McDonald County was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Neosho faced off against Webb City on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Cardinals.
While Neosho ultimately came up short, they really made Webb City work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17, 23-25, 26-24.
Neosho's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20-2. As for McDonald County, their win bumped their record up to 8-16-2.
