Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends South Point's Winning Streak

South Point and Ironton squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but South Point had to settle for second. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fighting Tigers. The shutout was out of character for the Pointers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

South Point moved to 11-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Ironton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-3.

South Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ironton, they will welcome Minford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
