Recap: St. Stephens Indians vs. North Iredell Raiders
The St. Stephens Indians lost against the North Iredell Raiders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. Stephens fell just short of North Iredell by a score of 56-54. St. Stephens has not had much luck with North Iredell recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hayden Hillman, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Long , who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
St. Stephens bumped their record down to 7-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Iredell, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
St. Stephens will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hickory at 7:30 p.m. Hickory has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 794 points over their last ten contests. As for North Iredell, they will head out on the road to face off against North Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Lincoln focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
