Football Recap: Rowan County Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Rowan County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 20-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Magoffin County Hornets on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Rowan County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jt Judd, who rushed for 98 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, and Cameron Cross, who rushed for 58 yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rowan County is headed away from home for the first time to take on East Carter at 5:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Magoffin County, they will square off against Floyd Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
