Softball Recap: Gadsden Panthers vs. San Elizario Eagles
Gadsden made up a huge gap compared to their last game against San Elizario, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Gadsden Panthers blew past the San Elizario Eagles 17-1 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four matches by nine runs or more so far this season.
Alyssa Lujan made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Lujan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Gadsden got a massive performance out of Kayleigh Vasquez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Brianna Flores was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
Gadsden always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .743. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Elizario only posted an OBP of .154.
